The OSSAA dead period kicks off on Saturday, with nine days of no activity required at school-owned facilities across the state of Oklahoma.

Bartlesville High Athletic and Activities Director Thad Dilbeck talks about why he enjoys this time of year.

The dead period will end following the 4th of July holiday weekend. In total, it is a mandatory nine days off for most athletes for working out at their school or with their high school coaches.

We will have more on the dead period and an overall update on Bruin Athletics with Dilbeck on Friday morning’s Bruin Buzz program.

We talk BHS sports every Friday morning with Dilbeck or a guest at 9:45 on KWON.
