Bartlesville Man With Pending Felony Cases Arrested Again

Ty Loftis
A Bartlesville man who has two other pending felony cases from 2025 has been arrested on misdemeanor charges of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident.
On Friday afternoon, deputies found Markell Scott after he had been involved in a second crash after fleeing the first. When speaking with Scott, deputies allegedly detected an odor commonly associated with alcohol and observed red watery eyes. Scott admitted to smoking marijuana earlier in the day and agreed to perform standard field sobriety tests.
An affidavit states that Scott performed poorly while conducting the tests. Deputies observed a lack of smooth pursuit in both eyes, observed poor balance and slow reaction time.
Scott posted a $25,000 bond and he will next be seen in court on Friday, July 11th. Scott is to have no drugs or alcohol in his possession.
