Bartlesville's Employee Advisory Committee has named its employee of the month for June. Street Maintenance Worker AJ Shufeldt had been nominated twice and was selected for the recognition by his fellow employee Tim Orsburn. Here is part of what Orsburn had to say in his nomination letter:

"AJ saved a dog running down Macklyn Lane and contacted the dog's owner. He stayed with the dog to make sure the dog was safe until the owner showed up to take the dog home."

Shufeldt will get eight hours of special vacation time, $25 in chamber bucks and a gift card.
