Bartlesville Man Facing Felony Firearm Charge

A Bartlesville man is facing a felony charge and multiple misdemeanor charges after allegedly possessing a sawed-off shotgun.
24-year-old Alex Boston was charged on Friday with possession of a sawed-off shotgun, possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a valid driver's license, failure to maintain insurance, operating a vehicle with an improper or expired tag and operating a vehicle with defective equipment.
According to the Bartlesville Police Department, on June 16, Boston was pulled over for having a brake light out. While the officer was conducting the traffic stop, another officer allegedly located marijuana and a glass pipe.
During a search of the vehicle, officers allegedly located two boxes of shotgun shells and a sawed-off shotgun. The cut was allegedly approximately three inches under the legal limit.
Boston will appear in court again on July 11 at 9 a.m. His bond is set at $5,000.
