Bartlesville Man Charged With Conspiracy

A Bartlesville man is facing a felony charge after allegedly orchestrating a check fraud scam.
22-year-old Dakota Cox was charged on Wednesday with conspiracy.
According to the Bartlesville Police Department, Cox allegedly orchestrated the check fraud plot with another suspect, allegedly identified as Isaiah Williams.
According to the Bartlesville Police Department, on Dec. 5, 2024, Williams allegedly produced and processed a fraudulent check worth $5,000. The money allegedly came out of an account owned by a business owner and into an account owned by a juvenile.
In an interview conducted by authorities, the juvenile allegedly stated he was introduced to Williams by Dakota Cox.
Cox will appear in court again on July 25 at 9 a.m. He posted a $5,000 bond.
