Administrators Finding Ways to Enforce No Phones

A law has been put into effect mandating that students be without their cellphones during the school day starting this year. Administrators are looking at ways to enforce that policy and Pawhuska Superintendent Chris Tanner says he is in the midst of figuring that out right now.

Tanner says it complicates things even further because the law states students are to be without their phone from bell to bell, but there are many students who come and go throughout the day. Tanner talks about some of the policies he is thinking about putting in place and hopes to have up for possible approval at a July school board meeting.

This new law includes all electronic devices such as smart watches.
