Caney, KS Woman Charged With Burglary

A Caney, KS woman is facing felony charges after allegedly hitting someone with a baseball bat.
 
43-year-old Mistie Nihart was charged on Wednesday with first-degree burglary and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
 
According to the Bartlesville Police Department, on May 28, Nihart allegedly confronted the victim at a residence. Nihart allegedly hit the door of the residence with the bat multiple times before forcing her way inside.
 
According to the Bartlesville Police Department, Nihart was pushed back outside by the victim before allegedly hitting the victim in the face with the bat.
 
Nihart has an extensive criminal history that dates back to 2002.
 
Nihart will appear in court again on July 11 at 9 a.m. Her bond is set at $50,000.
