The Copan football Hornets are breaking in a new head coach with a pretty veteran group back in 2025.

Trenton Kallenberger is running the Copan program after the departure of head coach Marshall Foreman in the offseason. Kallenberger was previously the head coach at South Coffeyville and had served as an assistant under Foreman at Copan the past few years.

Copan had nearly 20 guys out for football this spring.

Kallenberger details some of the younger guys whose names will be new to the Hornets in 2025.

The quarterback spot will be one of the rawest positions for Copan. Former QB Kane Foreman left for Pawhuska with his dad in the offseason. He is the likely starter for the Huskies this year.

Zane Stricklin, who is currently playing his summer baseball with the Indians, is one of the names to watch at QB.

Kallenberger talks about some of his possible signal callers and how they looked this spring and summer so far.

Copan is coming off an 8-2 season and its first home playoff game in 16 years, the Hornets will return more than half their lineup from that season.
