Dewey City Council Approves Budget

The Dewey City Council met on Monday night at Dewey City Hall.
The Council adopted a new budget for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. A total of approximately $1.6 million was approved for the general fund budget, $958,000 was approved in special revenue funds, approximately $2.1 million was approved for the public works authority, bringing the grand total to approximately $4.7 million.
City Manager Kevin Trease talked about the positive numbers and the sales tax.
In other business, the Dewey Fire Department gave an outlook on reinspecting multiple areas. Fire Chief Terry Young explains.
The Dewey City Council will meet again on July 7 at Dewey City Hall.
