Osage County Sheriff Bart Perrier has been talking about the need for a new evidence room that would be shared with the emergency management department and used as storage since taking office. Perrier has stressed the need for such a facility because the one currently in use isn't in sufficient shape to store evidence without the evidence being destroyed.

At Monday's meeting, bids were opened for the new evidence room and storage building. There was one bid from J&J Chapman Construction in Skiatook that came in at just over $337,000. Chief Deputy John Cummings said that is a figure he expected to see.

A motion was made to tabulate the bids from Monday's meeting. The sheriff's office and emergency management office plan to formulate a plan on how to pay for this.
