Bartlesville Man Facing Credit Card and Meth Charges

A Bartlesville man is facing multiple misdemeanor charges after allegedly possessing meth and stolen credit cards.
 
37-year-old Cody Steinmiller was charged on Thursday with obstructing an officer, possession of credit cards belonging to another person, possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and knowingly receiving or concealing stolen property.
 
According to the Bartlesville Police Department, on June 11, Steinmiller was placed into custody for an outstanding warrant in 2018. Once Steinmiller was arrested, police allegedly seized a backpack in his possession.
 
According to the Bartlesville Police Department, the contents of the backpack allegedly included various drug paraphernalia, such as needles, some contaning a liquid. Other items allegedly included pipes, plastic bags and cotton. The cotton allegedly tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed 0.3 grams.
 
Police also allegedly found nine credit cards belonging to six different individuals.
 
Steinmiller has a previous conviction of possession of CDS in his 2018 matter, and in 2022, along with an extensive criminal history in Washington, Alfalfa, Grant and Kay Counties.
 
Steinmiller will appear in court again on June 25 at 9 a.m. His bond is set at $10,000.
