Sewer System an Issue in Pawhuska

During Tuesday evening's city council meeting, Pawhuska City Manager Jerry Eubanks highlighted a problem with the old infrastructure in the town's sewer system. It is something Eubanks calls I and I.
When the recent rainfall came, there was a day where the sewer was getting backed up so Eubanks took a tanker truck and pumped around 40,000 gallons of sewage to the lagoon to keep the manholes from over flowing. Eubanks said the manholes were very close to overflowing downtown and if they are that way downtown, it is that way all across town.
Eubanks went on to talk about what happened when the creek came over its banks and covered the manholes.
Two homes got water in their house within the last week.
