Leadership Bartlesville Applications Available

So, you think you know Bartlesville? Leadership Bartlesville just might prove you wrong.
Leadership Bartlesville is now accepting applications for its next class. The long-running leadership program is much more than a course in how to lead. As Sherri Wilt with the Bartlesville Chamber of Commerce explained on KWON’s Community Connection, it’s about “immersing participants in the community,” offering behind-the-scenes access and in-depth exposure to issues, decision-makers, and places that most residents never get to experience.
“It’s a deep dive each month into topics like education, healthcare, and community services,” Wilt said. “It’s about understanding how our community functions—and sometimes, where it doesn’t.”
Past participants Kesley Walker with the City of Bartlesville and Ben Ames with Samaritan Counseling shared that even after decades living and working in Bartlesville, they were surprised by what they didn’t know. “It was truly eye-opening,” said Ames. “There were things I never knew existed here.”
The 2025 class will leave more than just memories. The current cohort is launching a Nonprofit Leadership Development Grant—a class project aimed at removing financial barriers for local nonprofit leaders to participate in the program. “Nonprofits often operate on shoestring budgets,” Wilt said. “This grant could be the boost they need.”
Leadership Bartlesville is hosting a Bingo Night and Silent Auction Fundraiser on June 28 at the Eagles Lodge downtown. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner and games to follow. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Auction items include golf outings, desserts, and overnight stays downtown.
Applications for the next Leadership Bartlesville class are due by June 30 at 5 p.m. Interested residents can apply online at www.Bartlesville.com or drop applications off at the Chamber office at 201 SW Keeler.
