Dewey City Council Talks Bond Projects

Dewey City Council met for the first time in the month of June on Monday night at Dewey City Hall.
The council approved amendments to the 2024-2025 fiscal year, with revenue increases for special fire donations and taxes on motor vehicles and gasoline. The council also approved expenditure increases for equipment and electricity for street lights.
The council also made action on multiple bond proposals for 2025. Of six bond proposals, the council voted to approve bond projects for water line replacement, police vehicles and street overlays, totaling approximately $1.2 million.
The council entered into executive session regarding the employment of City Judge John Holden. The council voted to give Judge Holden a 3% raise.
The Dewey City Council will meet again on June 16 at Dewey City Hall, 411 E. Don Tyler Ave.
