Lowe to be Sentenced This Week After Taking Plea

Ty Loftis
A Barnsdall man who accepted a plea deal after killing a 15-year old and sending his 16-year old daughter to the hospital is set to be sentenced this week. Weston Lowe pleaded guilty on a DUI charge and will serve up to 20 years in prison. He could get out in as early as five years.
The crash occurred near Barnsdall and killed Tyson Townley in May 2024. Lowe was arrested on first degree manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident and DUI charges. The sentencing was supposed to take place last week, but Lowe's attorney was sick. It is now scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday.
