Kiwanis Freedom Fest Set for July 4th in Bartlesville

Tom Davis
You won't want to miss our nation's 249th birthday! Join the Bartlesville Kiwanis as they present Freedom Fest on Friday, July 4th, at Sooner Park in Bartlesville.
Freedom Fest kicks off at 6 p.m. that evening with an opening and a welcoming with our National Anthem, followed by an area band. At 9:30pm, the fireworks begin. There will be bounce houses for the kids, lots of booths and food trucks.
Appearing on COMMUNITY CONNECTION, Konrad Brandemuhl said, "We also have the World War II Airborne Demonstration Team that has their DC-3 plane in Bartlesville Airport. They will, they're at a show somewhere, so on their way home sometime during the 4th, they will fly over our site and kind of say, you know, do a little wing waggle before they head to the hangar, so to speak. And we're still trying to arrange for the F-16 flyby by the Air National Guard. We're approved, but they haven't confirmed yet."
Karen Wilson with Kiwanis said, "We are so thankful to the sponsors like ConocoPhillips and Phillips 66 who have historically been long-time partners and others that have already signed up. Now we need more, because our fireworks totally depend on both the Kiwanis who put out a chunk and then our sponsors, and we really appreciate that." She added, "If you, want to be a spsonsor, you can either email or call us the email Kiwanisbville@gmail.com.Our phone number 918-977-3400 or just contact a Kiwanis member and we'll get you onboard."
