Indians Baseball Falls in Saturday Doubleheader

Brian McSweeney
The Doenges Toyota Indians were swept in their first doubleheader of the summer to the DFW Ravages on Saturday, falling in game one, 12-3, and in game two, 12-6.
The Indians fell behind early in both games. The Indians were run-ruled in game one, they finished the ballgame with three runs on two hits. Kael Siemers and Brenden Asher put the hits together for the Tribe.
In game two, the Indians took advantage of lots of free passes from DFW pitching. The Tribe were walked 10 times in Saturday's finale.
After trailing 9-2 early, the Indians put up four runs in their half of the fifth to stay in the game. This play got the Tribe right back in it.
The Ravages tacked on three more runs between the sixth and seventh innings to pull away.
The Indians have another chance to pick up their first win of the summer this weekend at home with a doubleheader on Sunday against Tulsa Sandlot. Coverage of the doubleheader can be heard on KWON - AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1.
