The Bartlesville Community Center Trust Authority announced a series of organizational changes and appointments following the approval of the 11-member trust authority in April.
After an extensive search process led by the BCC TA personnel committee, they are pleased to announce that Bartlesville native Caitlyn Caughell Kraemer has been selected as the next managing director for The Center for arts, events, and community.
A graduate of Bartlesville High School, Kraemer spent two decades as a performing artist on Broadway, on tour, and in regional theatres around the country. Her experience both onstage as an actor and behind the scenes as a director equips her with a dynamic leadership style, grounded in practical knowledge of the industry. No stranger to The Center, she grew up performing on the BCC stage with Children's Musical Theater and The Bartlesville Symphony Orchestra.
"It has been a joy returning to Bartlesville and I'm thrilled to be working closely with Val and the Trust Authority to lead The Center, stewarding this brilliant resource together for the next generation of artists in my hometown," Kraemer said.
Valarie Hulse, outgoing managing director of The Center since 2010, will transition to the role of director of development and programming.
“The Trust has been contemplating the addition of a development director for some time and the timing is perfect," Hulse said. "I am honored that they have placed their faith in me to fill this exciting new role.”
Administrative Director Sherry Gray retired at the end of April after 20 years of dedicated service to the Bartlesville Community Center. Elements of her diverse job duties have been divided between Kraemer, and Front of House Operations Manager, Elise Enterkin. Enterkin has worked for The Center for almost four years and under Sherry’s tutelage since her promotion in February.
The entire Community Center staff are excited to continue to provide cultural and
educational facilities and activities which strengthen the culture and economy of the City of Bartlesville.
