State Rep. John Waldron will be the guest speaker at Washington County Democratic Party's May meeting Thursday at 7 p.m. at Crossing 2nd in Bartlesville.

Rep. Waldron, a former teacher at Booker T. Washington, represents House District 77 and is the Minority Caucus Vice Chair of the state house. He is currently running for Chair of the Oklahoma Democratic Party.

His running mate is Erin Brewer, who led a grassroots group of Oklahoma parents in successfully challenging the attempt to open the nation's first taxpayer-funded religious charter school. The 4-4 tie decision in the U.S. Supreme Court was handed down last week.
