Spring in Full Swing for Caney Valley (OK) Football

With high school football entering another week of spring practices and camps, we take a look at another school putting the pieces together this spring in the Caney Valley Trojans.
The Trojans are entering a new era of football under first year head coach Derrick Hammer. Hammer previously coached at Broken Bow last fall, but he makes his return to Washington County after two years in Dewey. Hammer also spent three years coaching at Blackwell.
The Trojans won one game last season in what was the final season under former head coach Stephen Mitchell. Mitchell is now coaching the offensive and defensive lines at Dewey.
In what has been a rebuilding phase in Ramona, Hammer talked about creating a culture with his group.
We will have more on Caney Valley Trojan football throughout the offseason.
