Storms With High Winds, Hai and Rain Leave Thousands without Power Saturday Morning

There are still thousands without power after Saturday morning's storms ripped through the area. We've place calls to the power companies are awaiting responses.
Our weather monitoring equipment at Bartlesville Radio recorded 70 to 75 mph straight line winds in the 5 am hour in parts of our listening area Saturday morning.
Calls to the Emergency Management Offices in our main counties have been made. We are waiting for responses as to whether a tornado may have touched down in our area and what the damages might be.
Bartlesville Radio reporters saw and photographed many down tree limbs in the area and we are investigating reports of some uprooted trees.
A satellite dish that survived last year's tornadoes was blown off the roof of Bartlesville Radio during the storm.
Silver Lake Road was closed between Rice Creek Road and Georgetown due to a power line that was knocked down in the storm.
