Lighthouse Opens New Transitional House

The Lighthouse Outreach Center opened a new transitional housing unit Friday, helping those who are looking to move on from being homeless.
The new home is directly across the street from the Lighthouse on Bucy Avenue and houses four men who have successfully completed the first steps at the Lighthouse.
Errol Hada, the executive director of Lighthouse, says those who are eligible for transitional housing must be sober for 3-6 months, are working and attend a local church. He says those living at the transitional housing will pay $400 per month in rent, but half of that rent will come back to them.
Those living in transitional housing are able to stay there for one year. This is the third transitional house the Lighthouse has opened.
