After accepting councilman Zach Ellison's resignation Tuesday night, two more resignations were given after the regular session Caney City Council meeting ended.

 In a special session last night, the council accepted the resignations of Lisa Gorby and Kerry Gorby, and appointed new council members Mike Holeman, Becky Dye and Travis White to fill the vacated spots.

 Mayor Josh Elliott says recent scheduled meetings have had to change to work sessions, but he sees that improving when the number of council members drops from eight to four.

 Elliott also says quorum should be easier to obtain with less or no wards.

 The regular session meeting Monday night was moved to Tuesday because of lack of quorum. If enacted, the reduction from eight to four council members would take place January 14th.
