Bruin Spring Football Begins

We are all done with spring sports across the state of Oklahoma, as the high school ranks has moved onto spring football statewide.
Some smaller schools got going last week, but for the most part teams started on Monday of this week, weather pending.
At Bartlesville High, head coach Harry Wright is entering his fourth season running the program. Last season ended with a younger group of Bruins being thrust onto the varsity scene late in the year. The youngsters performed well. BHS won three games in a row to make the 6A-II postseason.
Even with graduation and departures, BHS should still return about 60-70 percent of its starters and roster from the end of the season.
Bartlesville fell to Putnam City 26-14 in the first round of the playoffs. More on Bruin Spring ball expected over the next two weeks.
Bartlesville will have a spring game, alumni scrimmage and more during its spring finale on May 30.
