Oklahoma Union baseball came to a close on Thursday after a loss to Colbert in the opening round of the 2A-II state tournament, 7-1.

OKU took a 1-0 lead in the first after an RBI single from Tanner Dickson. The lead held until the bottom of the third when Colbert took the lead off a two-run double. The Leopards put up five runs in the bottom of the sixth to pull ahead for good.

The Cougars finished with five hits, Sam Hill had four of the five.

The loss ends the 2025 season for the Oklahoma Union Cougars. They finish their historic season 19-11, with their first ever regional championship and first trip to state in program history.
