OKWU Baseball Faces Elimination in NAIA Postseason

Oklahoma Wesleyan baseball has their backs against the wall in the opening rounds of the NAIA postseason after falling to British Columbia University on Monday, 9-3.
OKWU got into a hole early after a four spot from the Thunderbirds in the top of the first. The Eagles trailed 6-0 in the sixth before putting runs across. The Eagles finished the ballgame with three runs on nine hits. They had one error defensively.
Connor Hickey led the way at the plate. He hit a home run and finished the game with two hits.
The Eagles enter must-win territory in Hattiesburg, Mississippi from here on. OKWU will have to win four games in a row to advance to their first NAIA World Series since 2021.
The first elimination game is Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. against William Carey University. The Crusaders are the hosts of the opening round four team pod.
