Bruin Golf at State on Monday-Tuesday

It is the last few weeks of spring sports across the state of Oklahoma, as we are getting ready to move into the summer weeks.
Monday and Tuessday, Bartlesville High boys golf heads to 6A State at Forest Ridge Golf Course in Broken Arrow. It was a fifth-place finish for the Bruins at the 6A Regionals a bit more than a week ago that propelled Bartlesville deeper into the postseason than the Bruin golf team has been in a long time.
Head coach Carl Holmes talks about the performance at Regionals that moved BHS onto State.
Sophomore Jay Wasemiller was the Regional champ during the tournament, he rode a stellar first round all the way to the No. 1 spot on the podium.
Holmes says it was not any big adjustments that led to Wasemiller’s victory in crunch time.
BHS qualified after having three freshman and a sophomore on its five bags at Regionals.
