OKWU Baseball Opens NAIA Postseason

Oklahoma Wesleyan baseball is back in the NAIA postseason as they open things up in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
The Eagles are the 2-seed in their regional, they are joined by British Columbia University, Indiana University Southeast and the regional host, William Carey University.
OKWU enters the national rounds with an overall record of 46-9. The Eagles took home a regular season conference championship out of the KCAC with a 30-6 conference record.
Despite falling in the semifinals of the KCAC tournament, head coach Kirk Kelley says the extra baseball was worth it.
The positive results as a team yielded lots of individual awards as well. OKWU landed 11 all-conference players this year. Evan Foor was named KCAC Pitcher of the Year, Ravaughn Morgan won KCAC Player of the Year. Additionally, Kelley won Coach of the Year.
This is the 15th postseason appearance for OKWU baseball all-time and the second appearance in a row after appearing in the opening rounds last year. Their last appearance in the NAIA World Series happened in 2021.
OKWU will open up the NAIA postseason against British Columbia University on Monday at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS. The Thunderbirds are 36-17, they finished Cascade Collegiate Conference play 29-8 and was the runner-up in the conference tournament.
First pitch is set for 1:45 p.m.
