OKU Baseball Secures First Ever State Tournament Berth

For the first time in school history, Oklahoma Union baseball has punched their ticket to the state tournament.
The Cougars won every game in their regional by double digits. They swept their doubleheader on Thursday with a win over Minco, 20-1, followed up by a win over Hulbert, 12-0. OKU shutout Hooker on Friday to win the regional championship and secure a state tournament berth with a 19-0 win.
The 2A-II state tournament starts on May 15 at Shawnee High School. The Cougars will know their opponent on Monday.
