The Oklahoma City Thunder suffered a tough one on Monday night at home in game one of the second round of the Western Conference Playoffs.

The Denver Nuggets stole one from OKC, 121-119 at the Paycom Center.

Chet Holmgren missed two crucial free throws in the final seconds, and the Nuggets made OKC pay with a three just before the buzzer that won the game. OKC had nearly led wire-to-wire.

Here is how the final call sounded on the Denver Nuggets Radio Network.

Oklahoma City’s strategy of fouling the Nuggets when the Thunder was up three in the final seconds raised some eyebrows. The early fouls gave Denver extra possessions to try to mount the comeback.

After the game head coach Mark Daigneault talked about the fouls.

OKC now down 1-0 in the best of seven set. Game two on Monday night from Oklahoma City with another 8:30 tip from the Paycom Center.

Thunder an 11.5-point favorite. Thunder basketball airs on Sports Talk 99.1 FM - KPGM in NE Oklahoma.
