Dewey Baseball Finishes District Action

Dewey Bulldogger baseball wrapped up district action on Thursday night with a split doubleheader against Sequoyah (Tahlequah).
 
The Doggers dropped game one, 13-8, but took game two, 5-1.
 
Head coach Riley Allen shared his thoughts after the games.
 
Nathan Sloan finished game one with four hits and five RBI en route to hitting for the cycle. Layne Gastel shut the door on the mound in game two, allowing just three hits, no earned runs and one walk. He struck out six.
 
The Dewey split puts their record at 19-13 overall. They finish district action with a 5-7 district record.
 
Dewey will wrap up the regular season on Monday at home for Barnsdall. Regional action will start on Thursday for Dewey in Silo.
