Oklahoma Wesleyan baseball has been as hot as possible lately as they continue to roll through their schedule.

The Eagles are 35-5, 22-4 in conference action and winners of six straight. OKWU remains in a tie for the conference lead with Kansas Wesleyan, who have won eight in a row.

Head coach Kirk Kelley talks about his group's consistency all season.

The Eagles took out Evangel University on Tuesday, 14-3, in a 7-inning blowout. OKWU finished the game with 12 hits and were led by Victor Sanchez. He finished 4-5 at the plate with a home run and 6 RBI.

OKWU approaches their next conference series against McPherson College on Friday and Saturday to wrap up a seven game road trip. The Eagles are 4-0 on the current road trip after a sweep over Bethany to close out last weekend and the win over Evangel on Tuesday.

Kelley says it's a big series.

The Bulldogs enter the series with a record of 20-18 and a 15-11 conference record.

First pitch is set for 2 p.m. on Friday in McPherson, K.S. before the doubleheader on Saturday.
