With all spring sports in our area in full swing, we head to the diamond to feature this week's Patriot Auto Group Area Athlete of the Week.

This week, we look at Brayden Ringer, a senior on the Dewey baseball team.

Ringer has grown up as a two-sport athlete between football and baseball, but says baseball has been his true passion. Ringer talks about his family's ties to the game.

Ringer has had to battle injuries throughout his high school journey. He says his determination is what drives him to fight through the pain.

Ringer is unsure if college is in his future or not, but he knows being a lineman in the oil fields is. He says that career path somewhat came out of the blue.

On the field, Dewey is currently 14-6 and are winners of four in a row. Aside from making memories on the football field in the fall, Ringer hopes to make one last memory in the spring on the diamond.
