Nowata Golf in Full Swing

The Nowata golf season is in full swing for 2025, with the boys season already underway and the girls season about to start.
Head coach Homer Johnston talks about the outlook of the boys team.
The Ironmen are looking to build off of the success of Spencer Bullen with lots of returning pieces this season. Bullen was the state runner up for Nowata in 2023.
The boys have a busy schedule this week. They opened up their season on Monday with a tournament in Sapulpa at Rock Creek Golf Course, hosted by Sperry. They'll turn around for another tournament on Wednesday at Heritage Hills Golf Course in Claremore, hosted by Skiatook.
Nowata girls golf will get started after spring break at the Keystone Golf & Country Club in Cleveland for a tournament hosted by Caney Valley.
Johnston says the girl's squad has some new faces on it.
The Nowata girls golf team graduated four seniors from last season, they will have just one senior this season.
Best of luck to both Nowata golf teams as they open their respective 2025 campaigns this month.
