We continue to look at local basketball club’s 2024-25 seasons, after most of our high schools were knocked out last week.

At Wesleyan Christian School, the Mustang boys rebounded better than most thought after losing several seniors following their best season in program history. WCS had a handful of multi-year starters get the club to the Area tournament for the first time in 2023-24.

The Mustangs followed that up with a 25-5 record and yet another trip to Area this year - With a mostly new batch of players.

Head coach Steven Cooks talks about the season at large.

WCS will lose four starters again off this year’s team. Cooks says one starter and four contributors off the bench will return in 2025-26.

Of all this year’s senior class, Cooks gave extra credit to Trey White for being the team’s most valuable player throughout the year.

The combined record of the last two seasons of WCS boy’s basketball is 49-10 with two trips to Area.
