Bruin Soccer Begins Tuesday

It is the season opener on Tuesday for Bartlesville High soccer, as the Bruins are back into action for the first time in nine months. BHS is at home against Union this evening at Custer Stadium.
Bartlesville is still being led by head coach Cedric Muteshi, but it will be Hosteen Walsh on the sideline for BHS to begin the year.
The Bruins are coming off a 5-7 season last year. BHS made the playoffs and had a first-round one-goal loss to Yukon. The last action before the regular season was a scrimmage against one of the best 5A teams in the state in Booker T. Washington. Bartlesville got a win in the event.
Walsh talks about the scrimmage victory.
District play does not start until later this month. Union is expected to be one of the top teams in the East District opposite BHS this spring.
Walsh says that early tests like this one will get his club ready for the District season.
A boy’s only contest on Tuesday and a 7:00 kick against the Redhawks.
The Lady Bruin soccer season starts its season on Thursday at home against Hilldale.
