Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball finished off the regular season on Saturday with a sweep of McPherson College. The women rolled, 75-58, the men clinched a regular season conference championship, 87-73.

The Lady Eagles controlled the pace throughout the entire game. A big second quarter offensively set the tone for the rest of the game as OKWU drew as large as a 20-point lead in the fourth quarter.

This pass from Haley Meely to a cutting Khamille Warr in the fourth helped seal the win.

Meely led all scorers with 15 points and five assists.

The Lady Eagles with the win finish off the season 13-15 overall and 10-12 in KCAC play.

The OKWU men finished off their 13th straight win on Saturday as they took care of business on senior day.

The Eagles grew their lead to 31 points midway through the second half when head coach Donnie Bostwick cleared the bench to get seniors some minutes.

This long three-pointer from Isaac Stanek helped the cause.

Stanek went for 15 points off the bench to lead all scorers for OKWU.

The Eagles with the win clinch the top spot in the KCAC tournament and another regular season championship. The title gives them an automatic birth to the NAIA national tournament starting on March 14.

OKWU will open the KCAC tournament against Evangel University on Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. from the Mueller Sports Center.
