We are just a couple days from Bartlesville High wrestling getting into the 6A Regionals, which will kick off in Bixby on Friday afternoon.

BHS just had a senior night domination against Caney Valley, KS and Barnsdall during a tri at the Phillips Gymnasium this past Thursday.

Head coach Bryan Vashus is in his first season with the wrestling program. He moved to Bartlesville for the job from Colorado.

Vashus says BHS has the athletes to compete in wrestling, the objective now is to get some of the guys who are out to take the sport seriously.

Vashus says Bartlesville could get a few guys into state. James Coleman, Marquise Johnson, Jon Ramirez, AJ Kerr and Avery Hitchings should have the best chances and have led the Bruins this season.
