OKWU Basketball Back for Ottawa

Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball returns to wrap up their three game homestand on Thursday against Ottawa University at the Mueller Sports Center.
 
Through two games of this homestand, the women’s team is 1-1 with a win over Southwestern and a loss to Sterling. The men’s team is 2-0.
 
The Lady Eagles enter the contest 11-13 and 8-10 in the KCAC. They are in ninth place in the conference standings, three games out of a conference tournament spot with four games to go. They fell to Sterling on Saturday afternoon, 81-70.
 
Last time around against Ottawa it was an overtime win on the road on Jan. 15, 86-80.
 
The OKWU men have won nine straight. They are 18-6 and 15-3 in the KCAC and sit atop the conference standings, one game ahead of Friends University with four games to play. They took out Sterling on Saturday, 77-63. Eight of their wins during the current win streak are by double digits.
 
Last time the Eagles played Ottawa it was also a road win on Jan. 15, 89-74.
 
The women’s game will tip-off first from the Mueller Sports Center at 5:30 p.m. with the men’s game to follow at 7:30 p.m.
