OKWU Basketball Wraps Up Road Trip in Little Sweden

Both Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball teams wrap up their three-game road trips on Saturday for one final test with the Bethany Swedes.
 
The last time the two teams met it was an OKWU sweep on Jan. 13 in Bartlesville. The women won, 60-56, with the men following suit in a high-scoring game, 91-80. The win for the OKWU men sparked the current six-game win streak for the Eagles. They have won all six of those games by double-digits.
 
The Lady Eagles go into Bethany with an overall record of 10-11 and 7-8 in the KCAC. They are currently in ninth in the KCAC standings, one game out from qualifying for the conference tournament. Last time they played, it was a crucial road win over Avila in overtime, 61-58 on Wednesday.
 
The Eagles head on the road with an overall record of 15-6 and 12-3 in conference play. They are tied for first with Friends University for the conference lead. OKWU and Friends split the season series. The OKWU men also took out Avila on Wednesday, 84-70.
 
The women’s game will tip-off first from Lindsborg, Kansas at 1 p.m. with the men’s game to follow at 3 p.m. Coverage of the games will be on Sports Talk 99.1 FM – KPGM.
