Bartlesville girls’ basketball won a non-District game at Muskogee on Thursday night, getting its ninth win of the season.

Bartlesville outlasted the Roughers, 51-46.

It was a great start but a struggle of a fourth quarter for BHS. The Lady Bruins had a 22-point lead dwindle down to six in the final couple minutes. That would be as close as Muskogee would get before a buzzer beater got it within five for the final margin.

Bartlesville allowed the Roughers to score 27 points in the fourth quarter, after only scoring 19 in the first three combined.

Still, the early lead held. Kennedy Nubel was the key. She had 16 points, two here to help extend Bartlesville’s lead.

A Muskogee full court press started to turn the Lady Bruins over, right as the Roughers started to heat up from the field.

A great press break from Sami Shaeffer finding Adrianne Flick gave Bartlesville a much-needed bucket in the final two minutes.

Alayah Lunn and Shaeffer both had nine points. BHS improves to 9-7 on the year.

Both clubs next go to Sand Springs on Friday night at 6:30 and 8:00 on KWON & KWONTV.com.
