OKWU Basketball On the Road to Avila

Oklahoma Wesleyan basketball stays on the road on Wednesday night for a trip to Kansas City against Avila.
 
OKWU is coming off of a split against Tabor College on Saturday. The women lost their second straight game, 71-41, the men won their fifth straight by double digits, 88-71.
 
On the women's side, Shade Richardson has been a bright spot for the Lady Eagles. Head coach Heidi Messer describes the relationship between her and the starting point guard.
 
The Lady Eagles currently sit at 9-11 and 6-8 in conference play.
 
The OKWU men will look to keep their win streak alive when they go on the road for the second straight time. Head coach Donnie Bostwick talks about the difficulty of the conference schedule.
 
The Eagles are 14-6 on the season and 11-3 in conference play. They are in a three-way tie for first with Saint Mary and Friends.
 
Tip-off Wednesday night will feature the women's game first at 5:30 p.m. with the men's game at 7:30 p.m. Coverage will be on Sports Talk 99.1 FM - KPGM.
