Another area basketball battle tonight between Copan and Barnsdall in Osage County.

On the Copan side of things, the Hornet guys enter at 10-4 with six games remaining over the next 2.5 weeks before Class B District action. Copan will get its postseason District assignment at the end of the week.

Head coach Kolton Stacy says he is pleased with the season to this point, with the knowledge that his club is capable of more heading into the playoffs. 

This is the first regular season game between the two teams, but they did face one another in the third-place game of the Copan Tournament. Copan won that contest by a single point against their Class A foe in December.

Stacy says every time these two play it is going to be close. 

A 6:00 tip for the girls with around 7:30 for the guys from Barnsdall this evening.

This is also one of only six dates left on the regular season for Barnsdall, too.

Districts for both teams begin the weekend of Feb. 14.
