The 30^th annual Caney Valley Tournament wrapped up on Saturday evening in Ramona with a couple of good ones in the title rounds at Holly Ward Gymnasium.

The Caney Valley, Kansas Lady Pups won the girl’s championship over Dewey, while the Liberty boys took the title on the guy’s side for the third straight year over Caney Valley, Kansas.

On the girl’s side, the Lady Pups beat Dewey 38-35 to take home the hardware.

It was a double-digit Caney lead in the fourth until Dewey mounted a comeback.

Three-pointer to tie at the buzzer fell off and the Lady Pups won it.

On the guy’s side, Liberty held on for a 57-54 win. The Tigers were up 21 points entering the fourth quarter until Caney Valley got all the way within two in the final frame.

This put back got the Bullpups really close in the final two minutes. 

Congrats to Caney Valley, Kansas girls and Liberty guys on titles in Ramona.
