Bartlesville High basketball goes back on the road to face Jenks in a 6A District 4 battle on Friday night.

BHS split a double-header at Bruin Field House on Tuesday night. The Lady Bruins rolled, and Bartlesville guys lost to Northwest Classen.

Bartlesville made some shots on Tuesday, the Bruins scored more than 40 points for only the second time in the past five weeks. However, the BHS defense suffered, giving up 74 points with multiple good looks for the Knights in transition.

Head coach Tommy DeSalme says lack of practice time due to some team sickness, and an added emphasis on offense, had the Bartlesville defense slip some over the past couple weeks.

Jenks is the only District-mate that neither Bartlesville team has played yet this season. Following Friday's games, it will be one tournament next weekend, aside from that it’s the second time through the District for Bartlesville’s schedule moving forward.

DeSalme says there should be some more bright spots ahead.

A 6:30 tip for the girls, with the guys to follow at 8:00 on KWON – AM 1400, FM 93.3 and 95.1.
