A fire broke out Friday around 5 p.m. in Ramona at a commercial auto repair shop, resulting in the total loss of the building. Fire departments from Ramona, Ochelata, Oglesby, and Owens, along with Washington County Fire Department and Emergency Management, swiftly responded to the scene.

Firefighters brought the blaze under control by 8 p.m., but crews remained on-site for several hours to monitor and extinguish lingering hot spots. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
