Hennesy Says He Plans to Stay at Pawhuska

Start out with some interesting coaching news from across the area, as we learned that Pawhuska football coach Matt Hennesy was denied the open position at Muskogee. A motion was made to hire Hennesy, but the motion failed with three no votes and two yes votes.
Hennesy became defensive coordinator at Muskogee in 2003. He became the head coach in 2006 before opting to leave after the 2010 season. Hennesy says despite interviewing for the Muskogee job, he plans on staying at Pawhuska.
Hennesy just wrapped up his seventh season as Pawhuska's head coach.
