We continue to recap high school football across Northeast Oklahoma, as all teams outside of Owasso and Woodland have wrapped their seasons.

Bartlesville High made the playoffs for the third consecutive season this past fall.

The Bruins lost to Putnam City in the first round of the 6A-II postseason about a week and a half ago. BHS led early in the contest after three Pirate turnovers in the first half but could not solve the Putnam City quarterback run game in the second half.

Head coach Harry Wright talks about the final Bruin game of the year.

It was an unusual season personnel-wise. Bartlesville entered the offseason looking like it would be more experienced than it ended up being. Roster turnover and injuries made the final month of the season about the youth, and they played well.

Bartlesville will only graduate four guys who were in the regular rotation of players after early October. The Bruins will still be young, but with a lot of experience among skill guys.

Wright talks about the roster moving forward.

The Bruins will lose a couple experienced lineman.

Wright says developing guys on the offensive line will be key over the next several months.
