WCS Football Talks 2024 Season
We continue to recap some area football seasons over the next couple of weeks.
The Wesleyan Christian School Mustangs lost in the first round of the Class B-II playoffs last week in a tough matchup at Covington Douglas, 56-0.
WCS finished its year at 2-9.
As a two-win four seed going against an undefeated team and one-seed in the first round, head coach Blaine Landers says he knew this would be a challenging game.
WCS will have most of its players back again in 2025 in coach Lander’s second season leading the Mustangs.
Injuries were a problem early for Wesleyan Christian. The Mustangs eventually got on a roll with two-straight wins against Arkoma and Gans, which got them into the playoffs.
Landers recaps the season that it was.
More on WCS football and others in the area over the next week.
Week No. 2 of high school football playoffs starts back up on Friday night. We will have Hominy, Woodland, Owasso and Pawhuska all in action.
