Bruins Roll into 5-seed With Capitol Hill Victory
Bartlesville High football took care of Capitol Hill with ease on Thursday night, as the Bruins have ended the regular season on a three-game winning streak.
BHS topped the Red Wolves 62-0 with a running clock over the final three quarters.
Bartlesville forced three turnovers and had two defensive touchdowns. The Bruins scored on four of their first five offensive drives.
Sutton Williams earned player of the game honors. He scored every time he touched the ball in the opening minutes, including on this 18-yard touchdown.
Williams now has four touchdowns in the last two games.
Bartlesville got to have some fun with its seniors. Both BHS defensive scores were scored by seniors, a fumble recovery from Grant Foote and a pick-six from Zach Keen.
This was the first shutout win for BHS since the Bruins beat US Grant 62-0 during week-5 last year.
The victory gives locks the Bruins into the five-seed in 6A-II-District 2.
Their opponent in the first round is to-be-determined based on results on the western side of the state on Friday night.
